A palette, not a keyboard trick
Press ⌥Space in any app, type a couple of letters, hit Return. The text goes straight into the field you were in. If you had a name selected before you opened it, that name is already sitting in the first blank.
You know the ones. The investor update in Notion, the intro on LinkedIn, the follow-up in Slack after a demo. Blankwise keeps them ready, fills in the parts that change, and drops the finished text into whatever app you're in. In German or English, du or Sie.
Press ⌥Space from anywhere. Everything stays on your devices and in your own iCloud.
Hi all, quick update for ____: MRR is at ____ and we ____. Full numbers below.
Works in whatever you're typing in
Most of what you write, you've written before. Blankwise is built around that one fact, so getting the right text into the right place takes about two seconds and no thinking.
Press ⌥Space in any app, type a couple of letters, hit Return. The text goes straight into the field you were in. If you had a name selected before you opened it, that name is already sitting in the first blank.
Write {{name}}, {{company}} or {{deadline}} into your text and Blankwise turns them into small fields. Set defaults, offer a few choices, mark the ones that can't be skipped. You see the finished text while you type.
Each template can hold an English version, a German du version and a German Sie version. You pick when you insert, and Blankwise remembers what you picked last time for that one.
No account to create, nothing tracking you. Your library sits on your devices and syncs through your own iCloud. On a plane it works exactly like at your desk.
Tap once to copy from the list. Put your favorites in a widget. Select a name in any app and share it straight into a blank. Or trigger a template from the Action button or Siri without opening anything.
Ask it to shorten a version or smooth out a sentence. The model runs on your machine, your blanks stay untouched, and nothing gets sent anywhere.
Password managers and a few chat apps quietly block pasting, which is why other tools sometimes just stop working. Blankwise notices, copies the text instead, and tells you which app is in the way.
Sort by who you're writing to, tag by topic, star the ones you use every day. Search knows what you used recently, so the right template is usually the first hit.
Your whole library exports to one readable file. Back it up, put it in git, or hand a starter set to your co-founder on day one.
Change the text on the left, fill in the blanks in the middle, and watch the result on the right. That result is exactly what would be pasted.
Take the text you keep retyping and paste it in. Swap the parts that change for blanks. If you write it in German too, add that version next to it.
Press ⌥Space on top of whatever you're doing. A couple of letters find it. Fill in the blanks, choose the tone.
The finished text lands in the app underneath. Your clipboard goes back to whatever was on it before. That's it.
Both are written in Swift and feel like they belong on the platform. No web view in a window, no login screen before you can start.
A proper three-column library, a hotkey that works everywhere, and text that goes straight into the app in front. You can do all of it without touching the mouse.
You can write and edit templates on the phone too, it's not a read-only companion. Copy with one tap, or fire a template from the Action button.
Your Mac and your iPhone stay in step through your own iCloud. If iCloud is turned off, nothing breaks. The app just keeps everything local.
The whole library lives on your devices and in your own iCloud. That's the entire list of places.
Download it, open it, start writing. There's no sign-up, so there's nothing to forget the password for.
Sync goes through the iCloud container Apple gives your app. We couldn't read it if we wanted to.
No analytics, no crash reports phoning home, no pop-up asking for your email.
Export everything as one JSON file whenever you like. It was your text before, and it still is.
Install Blankwise, press ⌥Space, and get back the hour a week that goes into typing the same replies.
Needs macOS 15 or iOS 18.
